Contrary to the closely similar Flyingvoice G504 VoIP Phone Adapter which has 4 FXS ports, the Flyingvoice G508 has 8 FXS ports, enabling users to maximize productivity with enhanced communication. It supports T.38 real time FAX and T.30 FAX with G.711 codec. The Flyingvoice G508 VoIP Phone Adapter is an independent device, eliminating any need of a PC in order to make internet calls. This Advanced Technology Attachment(ATA) results in crystal clear and audible voice quality when using the internet with an excellent compatibility with SIP industrial standards, enabling the device to easily work with other SIP devices and compatible softwares available in the market.

This is a technical specification of the Broadband Forum that defines an application layer protocol for remote management of customer-premises equipment (CPE) connected to an Internet Protocol (IP) network. The TR-069 embedded in the Flyingvoice G508 VoIP Phone Adapter uses the CPE WAN Management Protocol (CWMP) to provide support for functions such as auto-configuration, software or firmware image management, software module management, status and performance managements, and diagnostics. The CPE WAN Management Protocol is a bidirectional SOAP – and HTTP-based protocol, and provides the communication between a CPE and auto configuration servers (ACS). The protocol addresses the growing number of different Internet access devices such as modems, routers , gateways, as well as end-user devices which connect to the Internet, such as set-top boxes , and VoIP devices such as the Flyingvoice G508.
